PowerPoint - Importing Excel Graphs
We have an issue with importing Excel graphs. Whether we import a graph as an object from a file, or create a graph using a datasheet, the writing on the horizontal (category) axis ALWAYS distorts when we click out of the graph.
Even if we zoom into the lettering to see if it's clearer close up, it looks distorted.
How do we solve this problem?
RE: PowerPoint - Importing Excel Graphs
Hi Amy. There are a number of things that might be causing this. Check whether the magnification/zoom in Powerpoint is set to 100%; anything smaller or large will cause rendering problems which will distort the presentation of the chart. Similarly, if you are importing the graph as an object make sure it is brought in at 100%.; right click on the object once it has been brought in, choose Format Object and then the size tab to check this. Thirdly, try changing the scale of the axis in Excel; too much information might not transfer across to Powerpoint too well. If all else fails the drastic solution is to bring the chart into Powerpoint, "break it apart" by ungrouping and then recreate the axis using floating objects - although if the chart subsequently needs updating you'll have to start all over again from Excel!
Hope this helps,
Anthony
