Table Headings

How do I set up a table so that the table headings will appear automatically if the table runs onto another page?

Many thanks.

RE: Table Headings

Hi Sally

Thank you for your question.

You can do this by going to Table - Heading Rows Repeat from the menu. Your cursor will need to be sitting inside the table for you to do this.

Note this will only work if you let the table break naturally over more than one page. If you force the table to break over a page at a certain row, then you will need to copy and paste the headings at the top of the table on the next page.

Word tip:

Easily manipulate inserted images

When images are inserted into a Word document (Insert - Picture - from File), by default the images are formatted to be 'In line with text' which can make it difficult to position the inserted image exactly where you want it to go in your document.

The default settings in Word can be changed so that when images are inserted, they are much easier to manipulate and move around in your document.

1. Go to Tools - Options.
2. Select the Edit tab.
3. Under 'Insert/paste pictures as:' select 'Square' or 'Tight' from the drop down options.
4. Click OK.
