Line graph - how to remove all calculations

Good morning,

I want to create a line graph that plots the number of job postings per month on PowerBI. I add the date hierarchy to the x-axis as usual. But then I add the number of job postings to the y axis, and it creates a 'sum'. How can I make sure that it uses the actual number of postings, without converting the figure to a 'sum' or 'count of'?

Thank you

RE: Line graph - how to remove all calculations

Hi Yasmin,

Thank you for your question to the forum.

It looks like the reason why your job postings end up being calculated is because of its data type. I would check this by selecting the appropriate header in the data view and change it from number to text in the formatting section on the ribbon. This action will stop the line chart displaying a sum

Kind regards
