Sharing live sharepoint data connections
We want to share a live connection to data stored on sharepoint with other users - currently we are receiving an error message stating that we do not have permission to do so.
Dashboards have been shared between users via publishing and downloading from the workspace.
RE: Sharing live sharepoint data connections
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your question to the forum
It sounds like you're encountering a permissions issue with SharePoint. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this:
1. Verify Permissions: Check the permission level for the users who need access to the SharePoint data. You can do this by navigating to **Settings > Site Permissions** in SharePoint and using the "Check Permissions" feature.
2. Grant Permissions: If users don't have the appropriate permissions, you can grant them access to the file or site. Ensure that the permissions are set correctly for the group or individual.
3. Check Sharing Settings: In the SharePoint Online Admin Centre, verify that the sharing settings for the site are configured to allow access to the intended users. You may need to adjust the settings to "Anyone" or "New and Existing Guest Users".
4. Run Diagnostics: Microsoft 365 administrators can run the "Check User Access" diagnostic tool to identify potential issues affecting user access.
5. Reinvite Users: If external users are involved, you might need to remove them from the site and reinvite them. Ensure they accept the invitation and grant permissions again.
I hope this resolves the issue
Kind regards
