Power BI Dates

I seem to be unable to arrange my pie chart visuals by chronological date how do i achieve this ? I have tried to sort in power query but it will only allow a sort of axis in the visual alphabetically

RE: Power BI Dates

Hi Leon,

Thank you for your question to the forum.

The trick here is to create an extra column in the Query Editor based on the date field to return the relevant month number where January to December is 1 to 12. Once applied, in the Desktop report view you need to select the field in the data list (the one used in your pie chart) and apply the Sort Column button on the ribbon. Hope this has helped
