Is there a way to publish or export report to either PPT or PDF while not loosing the dynamic features? Similarly to Cristal Dashboard design? Many thanks

RE: Export

Hi Jean-Michel,

Thank you for your question to the forum.

Yes you can export a published report from the Power BI server. You will need to firstly enable Power BI in Powerpoint via the 'Add In' button on the Home tab. To export:

1. Publish the report from Power BI Desktop

2. In Power BI server, go to Export > Powerpoint and select "embed live data"

3. Click "Open in Powerpoint" and then "Open"

4. A dynamic slide will appear in Powerpoint which you will need to save and close.

5. Now make changes to the Desktop report, republish to replace the current report with the changes.

6. Open the Powerpoint "storytelling" file to show a live link

Hope this help and please let me know if it has worked for you.

Kind regards
Martin

Power BI tip:

Scheduled Refresh and Power BI Service

If you're using Power BI Service, set up scheduled refresh for your datasets. This ensures that your reports are always up-to-date with the latest data. Understand the refresh limits imposed by Power BI Service and optimize your data model and queries to stay within those constraints.
