Power BI connect to SAT

Hi there, could you give a step-by-step guide as to how to connect Power BI to SAP Business unit 1, please? Our IT advised that it can only be done via query each time other than a generic link. Thank you!

RE: Power BI connect to SAT

Hi Mariya,

Thank you for the forum question.

SAP Business One runs on both Microsoft SQL and SAP HANA databases.

If your SAP Business One runs on a SAP HANA database, you will have to download the data connector from SAP's website and install it on your PC. Then you can connect to the data by using Get Data and the SAP HANA database option.

If your SAP Business One runs on Microsoft SQL database, you can use Get data and the Microsoft SQL Server option.

I do not know where or how it is installed in your business. You will have to have help from your IT. They should be able provide you with server and database name. This information needs to be entered in the connection wizard.
