Paste as Values only

Is there a shortcut how to copy and then paste as values only directly / or set as default for the spreadsheet to always copy and paste as values only>

RE: Paste as Values only

Hi Sabina

I don't know of a direct shortcut but the following steps are still quicker than the menus

The steps to only paste values in Excel follow below:
Select the cell(s) with formulas and press Ctrl + C to copy them.
Select the destination range. ...
Press Excel's paste values shortcut: Ctrl + Alt + V, then V. (This displays the Paste Special dialog box)
Press Enter.

Alternatively, when you paste a paste options flag appears and can choose how to paste your data.

Create your own macro?

I've searched and there doesn't seem to be a way to set it perm to Values.

Let me know how you get on with the above.

Kind regards

Dennis

RE: Paste as Values only

Thank you Denis, I think Macros would be great idea once I get to know them better!
The Ctrl+Alt+V is sufficient for now

Excel tip:

Rotating Text in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

Maybe you want to draw attention to certain text or you just simply want to make your worksheet look more exciting!

One of the things you might consider is, rotating the text in a particular cell or set of cells.

1) Select a cell you would like to rotate
2) Click the ''Home'' tab in the Ribbon
3) Click ''orientation'' in the ''Alignment'' section
4) A pop up menu will appear with a few choices, if you want to decide yourself how many degrees to rotate the text, then click ''Format Cell Alignment.''
