Stacked Column Charts

Hello,

I have a stacked column chart in excel which shows the percentage of the number of gifts vs their percentage of the value. So we can see which gift types perform the best with how much effort.

I have a screen shot if helpful.

I'm trying to replicate this in BI but it seems to be a one or the other situation. Is that the case or am I missing a step?

Thanks!

RE: Stacked Column Charts

Hi Lou,

Thank you for the forum question.

It is all about how your data model is build and your DAX measures.

Do you have a dim table with the gifts listed?

And do you have a fact table with all the gifts transactions?

It may be useful to see a screen of your data model (model view) and a screen shot of the chart.

RE: Stacked Column Charts

Hi Lou,

Thank you for the screen shots.

I fully understand what you want to achieve, but unfortunately the 100% stacked bar chart does not support 2 values. I have been searching the Market Place for a third part chart, which could do it, but without luck.

There is a walk around. If you create two. One for each value, you can remove the background, titles, and axis from one of the charts, and then just put the charts on top of each other.

Power BI tip:

Implement Row-Level Security (RLS)

If your reports contain sensitive information, implement Row-Level Security to control access to data at the row level. RLS allows you to define rules that restrict data access based on user roles, ensuring that each user sees only the relevant data according to their permissions.
