Pivot tables

Old style pivot tables when aggregating to data fields across axis will put one column in A and the next column in B.
It can then be copy and pasted values out as such.
The new style of pivot table aggregates both into a single column when copied out.
Is there a method to force the new style tables to place the secondary data field into column B?

thanks
