Formatting cells
How to I format a date cell (A) to change colour depending on dates entered in a different cell (B) in a different tab.
When I launch my spreadsheet I want the relevant date (A) cell to be highlighted depending how close they are to date (B)
RE: Formatting cells
Hi Kim,
Thank you for the forum question.
Select the cell with the date you want to format.
Lets us assume that the date you want to highlight is in A1 and the second date is is in A1 on a worksheet named Sheet2.
Click Conditional Formatting -> New Rule -> Use a Formula to determine which cells to Format.
In the box "Format values where this formula is true:" type
=$A$1-Sheet2!$A$1>10
Click Format and select how you want it formatted.
The date will now be highlighted if there is more than 10 days between the two dates.
Kind regards
