Pivot Tables

I currently extract raw data and run pivot tables for reporting purposes. Every month - when I need to refresh the year to date data, I need to change the formula to incorporate that month.
Is there a way, I can have the formula (within the pivot table - calculated function) point to a cell, so that I can just increase the period by 1 and it will add this to the formula?

Excel tip:

Some examples of CTRL key shortcuts in Excel 2010

Did you know that the old CTRL key shortcuts haven't changed from previous versions of Excel to the 2010 version?

They remain exactly the same:

Ctrl+B for bold
Ctrl+I for italics
Ctrl+P to Print
Ctrl+S to Save
