Many Thanks

RE: Compact & Repairing

Hi Bhavin,

Thank you for the forum question.

Yes but it must be VBA coded.

You can "Compact & Repairing" automatically every time you close the database. You will find this option under Access Options -> Current database.

RE: Compact & Repairing

Hi Bhavin,

To use Access VBA in a database can be very complicated and you will have to understand VBA. I do not know if you have VBA knowledge or programming knowledge, but you will need a onQuery event to tricker the Compact and Repairing tool.

Why do you want to do, what you want?

Kind regards

Access tip:

Hide Access Tables

One method of stopping your Access tables appearing in Database window, is to rename the table(s) with the prefix usys.

This converts the table into a system object, which cannot be viewed in the Database window.

You can show system objects in the Database window by the following:

Step 1: On the Tools menu, click Options.
Step 2: Click the View tab.
Under Show, select the System Objects check box.
Click OK.
