IF Formula
Hi
Is there any way to create an IF formula that changes the formatting of a cell? For example, If it meets certain criteria to highlight the cell green?
Thanks in advance,
Lauren
RE: IF Formula
Hi Lauren,
In the Home tab, under Styles, you will find an option called Conditional Formatting. Here you can format cells in any way you like based on your criteria. It follows the same logic as IF formulas but is very quick and easy to use.
For your situation, I would recommend the first option, Highlight Cell Rules. You can then select your criteria eg Greater than, input your value, and use the dropdown to select how you'd like your cell to be formatted (highlight green is a default option on this list). There are also lots of other options there for you to explore, like Less than and equal Equal to.
I hope this answers your question, let me know if you have any further questions about this.
Kind Regards,
Sarah Reid
