Excel 2016 updating

Hello Excel 2016 spreadsheet blank is greyed out at the top when we open it.That is we are only getting a view of the ribbon. Following installation a few days ago it was sporadically opening files and now it has ceased to do so. What's the fix? We urgently need to access our files.

RE: Excel 2016 updating

Hi Liz,

Thank you for the forum question.

I am sorry but the problem can only be something to do with the installation. As I said in the telephone old files can always be used in new versions. I have tried finding help online, but I cannot find anyone else with the same issue.

If the application is correct installed and activated you shouldn't have any problems with your files.

Please talk to your IT department and check if Excel is correctly activated.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Change the Value of a Constant

When using a named constant in a worksheet, you may wish to change the value of that constant.

From the 'Insert' menu, select 'Name', then select 'Define'.

In the 'Define Name' dialog box, select the constant that you want to change.
Change the value in the 'Refers To' box.
Click OK.

Wherever that named constant has been used it will now use its new value.
