Analysing quantitative data

How can I analyse the frequency of words i.e. counting the frequency of words & how often a given word appears in conjunction with another word in the text.

RE: Analysing quantitative data

Hi Stephanie,

I know we discussed this at the end of the session and I recommended using Conditional Formatting for Key words. You could then multi-level sort by colour. Let me know how that goes. If not I can explain how to learn about the text functions in Excel which can achieve the same result.

Excel tip:

No Zeros

Want all the zeros in your worksheet to appear blank? Choose Tools/Options, Click on the View Tab, Deselect the Zero Values Option, Click OK.
Easy wasn't it? But be aware that these cells are not actually blank, they still contain the value zero. This is important because certain functions (ie AVERAGE) make a distinction between blank cells and those with a zero value.
