22/07/2015 14:21 PODZ-NE BUY 2 97.065
22/07/2015 14:26 PODZ-NE BUY 5 97.99

above is a snapshot of a list i need to use, where the buy or sell quantity is more than 1 i need a list that replicates the line to as many times as the quantity is but listed as 1. for example:

22/07/2015 13:20 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.065
22/07/2015 13:20 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.065
22/07/2015 13:22 PODZ-NE SELL 1 97.07
22/07/2015 13:22 PODZ-NE SELL 1 97.07
22/07/2015 14:21 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.065
22/07/2015 14:21 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.065
22/07/2015 14:26 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.99
22/07/2015 14:26 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.99
22/07/2015 14:26 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.99
22/07/2015 14:26 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.99
22/07/2015 14:26 PODZ-NE BUY 1 97.99

i have manually done this but it is only a snapshot of the list where there would 1000's to do. wondering if anyone would know any shortcuts?

thanks

RE: Duplicating Data in Lists

Hi Sean,

Thank you for the forum question.

No there is no shortcuts which can do what you want. The only way of doing something like this is writing VBA codes. I do not know your experience but the right code could do what you want in one second for 1000's of records.

We offer some very interesting VBA courses which can give you the VBA knowledge you will need if you do not already have the skills.

RE: Duplicating Data in Lists

Afternoon All,

Im trying to write some VBA code that will loop through a list and delete the entire row if the cell is below 25,000. I have tried various ways without any great affect hopefully you could help?

Regards

Sean

Excel tip:

Hiding Formulae in the Formula Bar

It is possible to protect the contents of a cell reference(s) from amendment by applying cell protection. The contents of the cell reference can also be stopped from displaying in the formula bar.

Step 1: Select Format > Cells > Protection.

Step 2: Tick Hidden option. Ensure Locked is ticked

Step 3: Select Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet

(Ensure "Protect worksheet and contents of locked cells" is ticked)
