Page setup for workbook

Would like to know how to change the page setup (eg print settings, header & footer settings) for the whole workbook rather than one by one.

RE: Page setup for workbook

Hi Claire,

Great question.
You can do this for all the sheets at once. You need to make multiple sheets Active/Editable so that a change in one (Header and Footer) changes for all other Sheets.

Be default only One sheet is editable/Active at a time. This is the Tab that highlights "White" when clicked on.

If you Hold Ctrl and Click other Sheets they will also be selected and highlight "White".

If you require a range of sheets, click on the first one, Hold Shift and then click on the Last Sheet. All of the Sheets In-between will highlight "White".

Now you just need to edit the Header and Footer as Normal. Insert/Header and Footer.

This will make the change on every other sheet selected.
This also works for changing what’s in a Cell.

The danger is that when multiple sheets are active, you could type into one and overwrite the data in the other Active sheets that are selected.

When you have finished editing Multiple Sheets at once, Right click on the Tabs, choose the option “Ungroup Sheets”

This will take you back to One Active Sheet.

Hope that helps

Excel tip:

Display pictures on Chart Data Point

Replacing a single chart data point bar with a picture.
Step 1: Left click on a bar. Then, wait, and do a second single click on the bar. This will select just one data point.

Step 2: Right click on the bar and select Format Data Point.

Step 3: On the fill effects tab, choose a picture. Browse for a picture for that bar. Indicate if you want it to be stretched or stacked. Repeat for each bar.
