Chart control

Hi,
Im using excel 2010. I had 3 measurement from 10 different people. I calculated the average and established a limit (i.e Max value and a Min value). Now I would like to put all these values in a graph with 3 horizontal line where these 3 lines signify average, Min and Max like a control chart.
I've send the same question and yet no response. Could you please help me in this matter.

Kind Regards,
Nirubiha

RE: Chart control

Hi Nirubiha

Thank you for using the forum to ask a question.

The first thing to check is that your data is laid out correctly before making the chart.

If you have the names listed in a column, make sure there are no blank rows. Don’t give this Column a heading. The next three columns should have the headings Min, Average, Max.

Select all of the data. Go to the Tab along the top called Insert. Choose the Line Chart from the Chart group.

The Chart will be created as an object on the page. When you are clicked onto the Chart you will have 3 green tabs along the top, Design, Layout and Format. If you choose Layout you can adjust the Chart Titles and Axis.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Enter formulae into multiple cells

If a formula is to be used in a series of cells, select the cells first. Now type in your formula and hold the Ctrl key while you press Enter. This enters the formula in each selected cell.

Just be careful with your absolute and relative cell references.
