Time zones and convertor

Hi,
I have a simple spreadsheet with Cities, Times, Differences and Clock as headers.
I want to be able to calculate the city times across the world by using a "=NOW()" formula formatted to "HH:MM" as a BASE TIME, and adding / subtracting the time differences to give the local time.

BASE TIME 10:21
CITY ZONE TIME DIFFERENCE CLOCK
Makati City East PHT 8 10:21
Athens Europe EET 2 10:21
Genoa Europe CET 1 10:21
Ghent Europe CET 1 10:21
Rotterdam Europe CET 1 10:21
Stockholm Europe CET 1 10:21
London Europe GMT 0 10:21
Buenos Aires America ART -3 10:21
Houston America CDT -5 10:21
Concord America PDT -7 10:21

Any help would be appreciated.
many thanks

Jason

RE: Time zones and convertor

Hi Jason,

Thank you for the forum question.

If you want to add 1 hour to now() you need in the cell to type =now()+1/24. Two hours =now()+2/24.

I hope this make sense and will do the job.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Convert a column into row quickly in Excel 2010

Occasionally you might enter data into Excel vertically and then when you finish realize that actually it would look more clearer if it was represented in a horizontal format. If you follow these simple steps below, you can quickly change the data from going vertically to horizontally and vice versa.

First, select the column you want to convert into a row or a row into a column. Then right click and select Copy. Go to the sheet where you want to past this row as a column and select “Paste Special”. Remember to check the check-box “Transpose” and select “OK”.
