Pivot Tables

Sorting internal data

RE: Pivot Tables

Morning Zach

Could you please say a bit more? Yes Pivot table data can be sorted as it can by a row or column field. Could you clarify what is internal data?

Thanks

RE: Pivot Tables

Morning,

Yes I can try. Hard to explain.

I created a pivot table which had two columns as the main features (A:B). These were in 'row labels' box within the pivot table.
I then had two other columns in the 'Sum Values' pivot option.

The pivot table was displayed as simply four columns across (A:D).

I was unable to sort from smallest to largest & vis versa for the data in 'Sum Values'.

RE: Pivot Tables

Thanks for clarifying.
If it helps here's an example where the Sum of Values columns can be sorted.

If not you could send your example to info@stl-training.co.uk mentioning my name in the message.

Cheers
