Charts

To add description to the individual values in the column chart, which one of the following chart components will allow us to accomplish the required task?
- Legend
- Scale
- Chart tide
- Data labels

RE: charts

Hi Jagparvesh

Thanks for getting in touch. Editing Data Labels will allow you to see and format the individual values on the chart.

With a chart selected, click the Layout menu, then choose Data Labels. Choose the layout that best suits your chart. You can then right-click a data label and press format to modify it.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Naming and Using Constants

Constants make calculations easier so worksheets are more easily understood. Constant values also need to be given relevant and memorably names. It is also easier to change the value of a constant.

For example:
Instead of entering 17.5% in each cell when you generate a VAT amount you could name a Constant "VAT" and assigning a "0.175" value to it. To do this:

From the 'Insert' menu select 'Name', then select 'Define'.

Enter the constant
