Macros i need more informstion on how to create a macro. A walk through guide would be very helpful.

Hi Tracey

Thanks for getting in touch. If you log into your account on the Best STL website, the "Your history/courseware" section will allow you download a manual for your Excel Advanced course. This will have a full Unit on the recording and use of macros.

In short, the process is:

Go to View > Macros > Record Macro.

Name your macro.

Perform your process.

Return to View > Macros > Stop Recording.

Your macro is now visible when you press the Macros button on the View menu.

Excel tip:

Copying Formulae Quickly

There is a quicker way of copying a formula down a column.

Just point and double click on the black autofill handle in the right hand corner of a cell.

This will work providing you have some data in the column to the left of the column.
