Page Setup - columns to print

Hello Best STL,

Why is it that in some excel documents it does not allow you to select columns to print on the left of each page?

I go print, print preview, page setup, sheet, but in there, the lines that normally allow you to select rows and columns to show on each printed page do not allow you to click in them, or in the box to the right of them.

Please can you help?

Hello Julia

Yes this is slightly annoying! You cannot set the columns or rows to repeat from Print Preview, Page Setup.

You have to come out of Print Preview and select the Page Setup ribbon tab. Then click on Print Titles and select your columns to print on the left as you normally do.

The same applied to setting the Pring Ares. Has to be done from the Page Setup ribbon tab.

Excel tip:

Copying Formulae Quickly

There is a quicker way of copying a formula down a column.

Just point and double click on the black autofill handle in the right hand corner of a cell.

This will work providing you have some data in the column to the left of the column.
