Conditional formatting

I would like to know how to highlight some negative numbers the same colour as some positive numbers. For example a minus bounce rate on a website would be a positive thing and I would need to highlight this field as black although other minus fields would be red.

RE: Conditional formatting

Hi Celia

Thanks for getting in touch. Conditional Formatting will only be applied to the cells you have selected. So if you only want certain cells to be formatted under certain rules, make sure they're selected.

You can then select a different range of cells and apply a completely different set of rules. The cells could be next door to each other but behaving very differently!

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Change the Value of a Constant

When using a named constant in a worksheet, you may wish to change the value of that constant.

From the 'Insert' menu, select 'Name', then select 'Define'.

In the 'Define Name' dialog box, select the constant that you want to change.
Change the value in the 'Refers To' box.
Click OK.

Wherever that named constant has been used it will now use its new value.
