Calculating Hours and Minutes

Thank you for your question regarding how to sum hours and minutes.

Firstly you must make sure that the cell containing the SUM formula is formatted correctly. To get Excel to accumulate time values using the SUM function you must go to the Home ribbon and in the Number group click the drop-down and at the bottom click the option More number formats...

Choose the Custom option and then make sure that you edit the format to the following:

[h]:mm

This will do the trick!
