Trace dependents/precedents

I like this tool, but if data is on different worksheets hwo do you know which other worksheets are involved by name?

RE: Trace dependents/precedents

Hi Jeremy

Thanks for getting in touch.

Once you've turned on Formula Auditing, you may see a dashed black line, indicating an 'external' reference. This means the reference goes off the current sheet.

To view this link, point your mouse at the line and double-click. The Go To dialogue will guide you to it's source.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Calculate age or service

The DATEDIF() function in Excel calculates the number of days, months, or years between two dates. So, this function makes it easy to calculate a person's age. To try this tip:

In a blank worksheet, type the birth date in cell A1, using slashes to separate day, month, and year.
In cell A2, type =DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"y") and press ENTER.
