Exceel cells

I am trying to develop an company wide database which will hold individual data sheets relating to each new contract.
As and when each piece of information is known it will be entered into the necessary cell sheet and we would like to know if certain cells could be linked to a list of outlook email addresses and when a cell is populated, this information is automatically email to the recipients linked to that cell.

thx Danny

RE: exceel cells

Hello Danny,

Thank you for your question regarding Excel data sheets.

Anything is possible in Excel, however, to do what you require will involve either using macros or creating some VBA code which will carry out your instructions when a button is clicked for example.

Find someone in your organisation who has the necessary skills using macros and VBA and they should be able to do this for you.

Failing which, we do have consultants whom you can engage to perform this task for you.

Please contact us through our website for further information on our consulting services.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Excel tip:

Fill formulae across a sheet

To copy a formula down a spreadsheet where there is data underneath, to the left or to the right of the formula, double-click on the fill handle. The fill handle is the little black cross that appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the formula cell. Unfortunately, no similar facility exists to copy formulae across the sheet.

One reasonably quick way to copy an existing formula across a sheet is to select the formula and the cells on the right to which you want to copy it. Then press Ctrl+R to copy the formula across the selected range, or, if you are menu-minded, use the Edit|Fill|Right command.
