Thank you for your question regarding ensuring a cell is input by a user. The Data Validation rules do not provide for this type of control, however, this can be done using code produced in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) which is outside the parameters of this forum post.

We do deliver training on VBA and you may be interested in taking this course to further develop your Excel skills.
