PERSONAL file defaulting to .xlsb

Hi

Is there a way to change the default setting so that when I create a macro it defaults to save as .xlsm rather than .xlsb? at the moment it automatically saves as a binary file and I can't see a way to change it.

thanks

Lisa

RE: PERSONAL file defaulting to .xlsb

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for your question.

You can change the default setting for a workbook to *.xlsm via the Office button and then Excel options. However, this will apply to all workbooks saved in your current session.

Office button - Save option on the left hand side - Change the Save file format to macro enabled workbook.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Simon
