how to protect documents

RE: protected documents

Hi Pam,

Thank you for your question.

If you go to the Review tab and click on Protect Sheet. Type a password in and then re-enter it to confirm. After you click OK, the sheet will be completely locked and no-one will be able to make any changes unless they know the password.

If you need to password protect the workbook, then use the Save As command, go to Tools and then General Options. Then you can create a password so that it prompts you to type in the password each time you open the document up.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Simon
