Filtering

How do I filter 2 lots of data at the samme time?

i.e. Select a group of cases relating to account numbers and also filter by date of creation at same time.

There will be 2 columns for each

RE: Filtering

Hi Chris,

You can use the Data menu and sort the data by one column then by another. Also, you can use the AutoFilter and then sort the data Alphabetically. There is also an option called the Advanced Filter which you can sort by criteria based on two columns. These will be covered in your excel training course today but if you have any problems or questions let me know.

Excel tip:

Highlighting a data range

Attempting to use a mouse to highlight a large range of cells with data in Excel can make the mouse to have a life of it's own!

Use keyboard strokes instead.

Step 1. Place the cusor in the cell where the highlighting should begin.

Step 2. Select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+END

This will take the cursor to the furthermost bottom corner of the data range found in that worksheet. And highlight that range of cells at the same time
