How do you create macros?

RE: Macros

Hi Susannah, thanks for your query. In Excel 2007 you need the Developer tab visible on the ribbon to record a macro. You can get to activating tick box using the options button on the Office drop down menu - it's the third tick box down on the first screen that appears.

Then, you simply create a macro by clicking on "Record Macro" on the developer tab. After that, all your actions in Excel will be recorded and translated into a repeatable macro. Remember to press "Stop recording" when you're done!

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Excel tip:

Change the Default Width of All Columns in Excel 2010

If you want to change the width of the columns in your Excel 2010 spreadsheet, making them either larger or smaller, here's how:

In the Cells group on the Home tab, click Format.

Hover over the section called Cell Size and a drop down list will appear, select Default Width from this list.

In the Standard Width dialog box, enter the size you want to set as the default width and click OK.
