Organisation Chart

1.I am creating an organisation chart, how do I resize all the boxes to be the same size.

2.Is there a quick way of checking that all the boxes have the same distance between them.

RE: Organisation Chart

Hello Jenny,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Visio course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding size and position.

The size issue is easy, just multi select all the shapes you want to resize (Shift+Click each shape), then display the Size and Position window, found in the View menu. Type in the width and height.

As for positions and evenly spaced shapes, multi select only the shapes you need to space out or align (do not select every shape!!).
From the Shape menu, choose the Align option or Distribute option.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

Visio tip:

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Visio 2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Visio 2010 as well as Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
