Select a Baseline to track against

I have saved a baseline to "Baseline" and another to "Baseline 1". I want to view my current progress against "Baseline 1" how can I do this?
Thanks,
G

RE: Select a Baseline to track against

Hi Gar-Yun,

Thank you for your question.

If you go to Gantt Chart View and apply the Cost table, you can add the Baseline 1 Cost field to comapre against Total Cost.

Alternatively go to the Variance table in Gantt Chart view and add the Baseline 1 Start and Baseline 1 Finish columns and compare them against Start and Finish.

If you go to Tracking Gantt view and double click into the white space you should be able to change the baseline from the Baseline to Baseline 1.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

MS Project tip:

Keep constraining dates to a minimum

As far as possible avoid fixing the dates of your tasks. For example try to steer of clear dragging task bars in the Gantt chart to move them on the timeline or entering dates directly into the Start / Finish fields.

Date constraints such as these limit Microsoft Project's ability to automatically adjust your project whenever you add, remove or modify the duration of your tasks. Instead use the logic in your task dependencies that link your tasks to enable Project to calculate the start and finish dates for you.
