Excel 2003 Consolidation

I'm consolidating a workbook with identical sheets which includes IF(iserror(vlookup... type of formulas. The consolidation option does not allow me to click on the option to link to supporting sheets, why is this?

My consolidation page has more than one row with total calculation, would this be the reason.

RE: Excel 2003 Consolidation

Hi Lynda

Without seeing your sheet its difficult for me to give any advice. Have you checked use labels in left column and /or top row and have you ensured that your consolidation ranges include the top row and left row labels.

What would be helpful is if you could describe how you have created your consolidation ranges and maybe sending me a screenshot of the consolidation box and one of the worksheets in question

RE: Excel 2003 Consolidation

Thanks for your time on this, I copied one of the identical sheets for the headings and columns and then applied the consolidation formula on the numbers only so did not click use lables in left column and / or top row.

Excel tip:

New to Excel 2010 - Sparklines!

Excel 2010 includes a new feature called Sparklines which are tiny charts that fit into a single cell and plot data in cells from the worksheet. There are a host of formatting and styles that can be applied to them and they are really quite interesting.

>insert
>sparklines
>Choose any style you want

You will be asked for the range and it will automatically select the cell your in to insert the sparklines.
