Master Project Programme Security

ResolvedVersion 2003

Tom has attended:
Project Intro Intermediate course

Master Project Programme Security

I would like to avoid the master programme being altered and affecting the individual sub-projects (linked projects) - is it possible to have the master project programme as read only (password protected) allowing for the individual project managers to update there own projects, but no allow the master project to affect the individual projects - unless authorised?

Hope you can help

RE: Master Project Programme Security

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your question and sorry for the delay in responding.

Once you have created your Master Project save it immediately using File Save As and follow these commands:

1. Tools - General options.
2. Type a password for protection and save the file.
3. Your colleagues can then make changes to the individual
files but the Master should require a password to open it.

I hope this answers your question.

Let me know.

Regards

Simon
