MS Project splits task when assigning resource
Hello,
I am working on MS Project Server 2007.
When I assign a resource to a task, MS Project splits it and I have to manually fix all tasks by dragging.
I was working with another file last week and everything was going well.
What is going wrong?

Thank you for your question.
The split that Ms Project creates could be caused by your resource having non-working time in their calendar that requires the task to be delayed. If part of the task has been marked as complete then MS Project will split it - leaving the completed work unchanged in the schedule but the unfinished work will be delayed until the Resource next has available working time.
Let us know if you are still having problems with this and we can try and track the cause down.
