Flipping EXCEL columns! Transposing vertically - getting it the

I normally get data from 01/12/09 to 31/12/09. I copy this data down to other spreadsheets. My data source has changed tack and is giving me data starting at the end of the month at the top and with the beginning of the month at the bottom. I know that the transpose button on paste special will take this data and give it to me one one row. Is there any paste special type device that can allow to paste in vertical reverse. ie. paste what was at the bottom on the top??

RE: Flipping EXCEL columns! Transposing vertically - getting it

Hi Ludovic, thanks for the query. Insert another column containing 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Then select the data and sort it according to your new column either ascending or descending according to preference. That should turn your column upside down!

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Excel tip:

Turn Function tooltips on and off

Excel 2002 (XP) and Excel 2003 have the Function tooltips facility. When you type in a function name followed by a bracket, for example, =IF(, a yellow box appears beside the function name and lists the function's arguments. This is very useful when you can't quite remember the order of a function's arguments or what the arguments actually are!

However, Function tooltips can become annoying. To turn them off, choose Tools|Options. and select the General tab. Then, untick the Function tooltips box and choose OK.
