Numbering

I have a problem with numbering in Word e.g if I need to number as follows: 2. 2.1 2.2 2.2.1. I have always done it manually but I think there should be a way that Word can do it automatically. Any suggestions will be great. Thanks.

RE: Numbering

Hi Olubunmi,

Thank you for your question.

Go to the Format menu and choose Bullets and Numbering. Select the Outline Number tab and choose the second option on the second row.

Type your first heading in and that will be assigned 1. Press enter and then press the Tab key to move to a second level bullet which will give you 1.1.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon
