Delete Query

Hey,

I have uploaded some data from excel into a massive spreadsheet and unfortunately the data I uploaded was slighly wrong.

The data was as below

Date, Month, Year, Total

Yet year is blank for a number of entries so I need to delete it , yet if I write into the criteria = "" it says Data mismatch in criteria expression.

Any ideas?

Cheers

James

RE: Delete Query

Hi James,

Thank you for your question.

In the query window write the word 'Null' on the criteria line under the year field, run the query and that should bring up all the records that have no year associated with them.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Access tip:

Hide Access Tables

One method of stopping your Access tables appearing in Database window, is to rename the table(s) with the prefix usys.

This converts the table into a system object, which cannot be viewed in the Database window.

You can show system objects in the Database window by the following:

Step 1: On the Tools menu, click Options.
Step 2: Click the View tab.
Under Show, select the System Objects check box.
Click OK.
