Setting margins and tabs within tables

RE: Tables

Hi Caron, thanks for your query. You can adjust the tabs and margins within individual cells by selecting the cell and then altering the tab positions using the tab stops on the ruler. You can also add bespoke tabs by selecting the tab you want from the options on the left hand side of the ruler and the clicking onto the ruler area where you want the tab. Remember to tab within a cell you need to press CTRL+TAB.

Select the whole table, and you can adjust tabs and margins en masse using the same techniques.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Word tip:

Configure paste options in Word 2010

When you copy text and paste it into Word, the formatting is the same as where you copied the text from originally. You can change it to match the formatting of the current document but to avoid having to do this every time you paste text, follow the following steps:

1) Click the Office button
2) Then Word Options
3) Go to Advanced
4) Under the Cut, copy and paste heading, use the first four drop-down menus to choose a default setting for format pasting.
