Can excel autofill days and dates?

RE: days & dates

Hi Dulce

Thank you for your question

Excel can indeed autofill both days and dates. If you type in a day and copy dow it will automatically fil in the following days. Similaly if you type in a date and copy down it will increment on a daily basis.

Another option is to format the date so that it also contains the day. So if you select the range to format and then click on Format-Cells select the number tab and then select custom from the category list, you can then set the format by typing

DDDD DD/MM/YYYY

into the box headed type on the right hand side of the dialog box

Excel tip:

Display Functions on Worksheets

Functions in Excel can be difficult to recall their format/syntax

For example, you want to use the =PMT function.

Enter =PMT, then select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+A.

This usful memory jog, will display the arguments of a function on a worksheet, allowing the user to proceed with the generation of the function
