Headers and footers How do thay work

RE: Headers and footers

Hello Robert
Thank you for your question

Headers and footers run through the top and bottom of the word document and contain information on the document such as author, date and sometimes images etc. In the document go to View, Header and Footer. The Header will appear straight first along with a menu bar that lets you add dates and switch between the header and the footer. Add some sample text here and click close. You will see your header text appear on all documents. If while you are in the header you click the page format button, there is an option to apply the header to the whole document or from this point forwad if for example, you dont want the header appearing on the front page of the document.
