Ranges & Pivot Tables

How do i create dynamic named ranges?

RE: Ranges & Pivot Tables

Dear Dagna

Thank you for attending Excel Advanced course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Please refer to the following link to help you create a dynamic named range. The advantage of dynamic named range is that when any data is added or deleted from the existing range it automatically adjusts itself.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830287

Please refer to the uploaded file that I downloaded from one of the websites. It has some examples of the dynamic named ranges. Please feel free to experiment by adding/Deleting extra rows/columns to see how the results vary.

You can use CTRL +Z (Undo) to get back to the original.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Excel tip:

How to Remove Duplication's from a selection of data in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

It would take far too much time to scan through rows and rows of data to find and remove duplicate data. So, here's how to do this using a much more efficient method:-

1) Select the data that might contain duplication's
2) Click the ''Data'' tab
3) Go to ''Data Tools'' and click ''Remove Duplicates''
4) A box will appear. Tick the boxes of the columns that you want to use to check for duplicates. Finally, click ''OK.''
