How can i split my text so half is right adjusted and half is left adjusted, but on the same line

RE: Microsoft Word

Dear Chantelle

Thank you for attending PowerPoint Inter/Adv course! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Justification button (such as left, centre, Right and fully) can only be applied to paragraphs.

If you want certain part of your text which is on the same line to be aligned left and other section to be aligned right then you can use Tabs facility.

I am not sure how comfortable you are in using this feature.

The simplest way of doing this would be to start typing a text and when you want the text to be aligned right then keep on pressing Tab key on the keyboard until the desired position.

But if you don't want to keep on pressing tab four or five times every time and still want to align your text in multiple lines then you can set the tabs to your specific requirement.

Please ensure that the ruler is visible on your MS Word Window. (If you cannot view the ruler then choose View > Ruler from the Menu bar.)

Take your mouse cursor on the ruler where you'd like the tab to be set (this means that every time you press the tab key the cursor will automatically start blinking at this place).

Try typing something press Tab type something else.

Press Enter key. Type something else and then press Tab. you'll notice that the data gets left aligned in the second column.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Word tip:

Find out all Word's shortcut keys

Want to learn more Word shortcut keys?

Here's how to you can find more shortcut key combinations:

1. Look up shortcuts in Help - this should bring up a link to the Keyboard Shortcuts topic.

2. Word has a built-in macro that you can run which will produce a list of all Word's shortcut keys that you can then print.

To access the macro, go to Tools - Macro - Macros. Use the dropdown arrow next to Macros in: to select Word commands.

Scroll down the list under Macro names and select ListCommands, then click Run.

Click OK. A document listing shortcut keys should be generated for you, which you can print for future reference.
