How do you change the colour of the text in your cells?

RE: Excel Introduction

Hi Katherine

Thanks for your post - and welcome to the forum

The easiest way for you to change the colour of the text in the cells is to firstly highlight the cells then go to the format menu- click cells, or right click the cells and select format cells both will take you to the same place - after that go to the Font Tab and locate the colour dropdown list select one of you choose then click OK

NB: you can also change the format of many other things for your cells by going to format cells just make sure you highlight the cell to work on first

Excel tip:

Calculate age or service

The DATEDIF() function in Excel calculates the number of days, months, or years between two dates. So, this function makes it easy to calculate a person's age. To try this tip:

In a blank worksheet, type the birth date in cell A1, using slashes to separate day, month, and year.
In cell A2, type =DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"y") and press ENTER.
