RE: Organisation Charts (3D)
Hello Tom,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Visio course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding 3D organisation chart in Visio.
As Visio is a vector-based diagramming application, you could fit 400 shapes on the page. It would be very small, and difficult to print.
What you can do is hyperlink the shapes in the org chart so that you can have multiple pages that show various levels within the organisation.
To do this, create your top level structure on the first page, and then on subsequent pages, draw the deeper levels of your chart.
Now, go back to your first page, and right click one of the departments or managers. Choose FORMAT > BEHAVIOUR. Then choose the second tab called DOUBLE-CLICK. On the bottom of this window, the is an option called GO-TO, with a list of your pages. Choose the one you want.
Click OK.
Now when you double click that shape, it will automatically take you to the page you have selected.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.
