What does a format painter do?

Hi Pamela,
Thank you for your question;
IN reply: Format Painter - Format Painter will copy the Formatting from one area of your document and apply it to a chosen area, there are two methods of applying Format Painter, Single and Multiple. For Single select the text formatting you wish to copy, click the Format Painter button and then select the text you wish to apply it to --- For Multiple double click the Format Painter button and apply the formatting to as many places as you wish. Note: you will have to click the button again to switch it off. I hope that helps ... Pete
