Macros

How do I restart re-cording?

RE: Macros

Dear Jake

Thank you for attending Excel Adv course. I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Please remember that macros are series of actions that get recorded as you carry out them step by step. There is a Pause recording button which allows you to pause recording in case of an emergency.

If you have made errors while the macro is being recorded then you'll have to manually recitify that by going to the Visual Basic window. Depending on the nature of the correction you may need a sound understanding of VBA (Coding language).

If it wasn't a too complicated macro then I'd suggest you to delete the macros and re - record it.

I hope this helps.

Please mark the post as resolved if it has helped in answering your query.

Excel tip:

Sorting data stored in rows

Primarily Excel is set up to sort data that is stored in columns rather than rows.

It is possible to get Excel to sort data stored in rows however.

Click in the row you want to sort, or select the cells in the rows you wish to sort.

Go to Data - Sort, then go to the Options button in the bottom left corner of the Sort dialogue box.
